Action Kills Fear.

Act as if you’re a goodness.

The best way to throw your fear is to prove it wrong. Think about it. For example, say it’s the first big party of the year at your new work and you can count on one hand the number of people you’ll know. As you’re getting ready on the evening of the party  you start thinking. “My clothes aren’t cool enough”. No one’s going to talk to me. Instantly, you feel like a total loser, right? Hands sweaty, your heart is pounding, and you’re feeling bad already? Before you’ve even stepped out of house. Avoid whatever you’re afraid of to make the fear grow bigger because you never found out if you can cope with it and you never build up any confidence. Why go through the stress of something before you know what’s what?

Just think, you may have fun. No matter how badly you’ve done something take a learning lesson instead of crying over it. So, what if you spill soup on the new carpet? Let yourself free by reminding yourself that everybody makes mistakes. It’s not the end of the world, After all putting yourself down only make you feel bad and make you more fearful in the future. A champion isn’t someone who never falls or makes a mistake, but someone who can fall or make a mistake and still come back with grace. Exactly. Hold your head high.

Now that you’re stepping into the great unknown you need a plan. Imagine just about everything you can think of that could possibly go wrong and make a list of how you would handle each situation in turn. Practice acting this out by yourself or with a friend if it makes it more realistic for you. It’ll make the process more fun, too. Having a plan is the most critical part of coping. You’ll fill much calmer because you’ll know what to expect and what to do. Let your motto be: Be prepared.
